BIMI missionaries have served in Nigeria since 1986. Our missionaries are currently serving in a variety of church planting ministries, including village tent meetings, regular worship services, building projects, jail ministries, Bible correspondence courses, and national leadership training.

Unreached areas/peoples

With a population of over 150 million souls – half the population of the entire United States – Nigeria is Africa’s most populous nation. 1/3 of the 523 people groups claim to be Christian, but only less than 25% of these would claim to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Special projects/opportunities

This is one of the most fruitful fields with thousands of souls being saved. However, it is a field where our missionaries are opposed the most. Our missionaries are specifically challenged in their efforts to train young men who will plant the future churches in Nigeria and neighboring countries.
