Current Churches & Ministries

BIMI missionaries have served in South Africa since 1976. Our missionaries are currently serving in a variety of church planting ministries including regular worship services, national leadership training, building projects, feeding ministry, hospital ministries, the ministry of translating tracks and printing them in the local dialect, and village evangelistic meetings.

Unreached areas/peoples

While 20% of South Africans would claim to be born again Christians, non-religious people make up the third-largest religious group.  This segment represents a great need and opportunity for ministry.  Even among the Christians who attend church, less than 10% have a significant church to attend.

Special projects/opportunities

As one of the most developed countries in Africa, South Africa presents many opportunities for ministry. More missionaries are needed to share Christ and to plant churches among the diverse ethnic groups throughout South Africa.
