Current Churches & Ministries

BIMI missionaries have served in Zambia since January of 1998. Our missionaries are currently serving in church planting ministries while trying to learn the culture and language. To try to reach more souls The Friends of Zambia Library and Learning Center was constructed. This is an open library that helps educate our community and at the same time introduce them to our ministry. We use the same facility for our Bible Institute in training those who feel called of the Lord to serve as pastors and church leaders.

Unreached areas/peoples

Zambia has the fourth largest population of Jehovah’s Witnesses per capita with 1 out of every 88 Zambians being a Jehovah’s Witness. Five percent of the population is Muslim and growing fast. Zambia claims to be a “Christian” nation, but multitudes of people do not understand what that means. Nearly 600,000 orphans live in Zambia, over 65% of them because both of their parents have died of AIDS.

Special projects/opportunities

Whether you recently graduated college or recently retired; whether single or married, the Lord can use you in Zambia. There is a great need for missionaries to serve by planting churches, ministering to youth, caring for orphans, and reaching Muslims, Hindus, and the Deaf for Christ. If you are looking for a significant way to serve the Lord, if you and your family seek a challenge to grow; and if you would like to play a part in seeing the Gospel impact individuals, families, even a nation and a continent, then consider allowing the Lord to use you as a missionary to Zambia.
